Breakfast and Lunch are FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS as of July 1, 2024

Breakfast - Schools serve breakfast either in the classroom, hallway, or cafeteria.

Lunch - Hot lunch is served at all DPS schools.

After-school Snacks - Served to students who participate in DPS sanctioned after-school programs.

Summer Food Service Program - Free summer meals are available to all children in Durham at some schools and community sites. Site locations vary each year. Text FOOD or COMIDA to 304-304 during the summer months to find a site near you with free meals for kids. DPS GOOD FOOD is committed to sourcing high-quality food for all. All meals served follow the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and federal regulations as approved by North Carolina and the State Board of Education Policy on Nutrition Standards for School Meals.
