In SY24-25, Durham Public Schools is moving forward with district-wide Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which is a federal program that provides breakfast and lunch free of charge to ALL students regardless of family income. No Free and Reduced Price Lunch paperwork is collected. Everyone is invited to the table to share good food and conversation.
And for us, CEP is just the beginning of the conversation about where DPS school food is headed. For a taste, check out the latest from the National Farm to School Network about what CEP can lead to.
