Beth Leamer

I am so very excited to be back for my 9th year teaching at Mangum. The strong sense of community and the warmth of all those that work here make Mangum a wonderful place to be. I taught kindergarten in Wake Forest for five years, and then I transitioned to Glenn Elementary in Durham where I was a reading specialist for four years. I also have a Master's degree in literacy from UNC Chapel Hill. I live in Bahama with my husband, Jeremy, and our two children. I love having my children here at school with me. Ava will be in 4th grade this year and Levi in 1st grade.

Kristen Barnhill

Hi! I love being part of the very special Mangum community.  I am a Durham native, graduated from DPS, and earned my Child Development and Early Education degree from UNC Greensboro.  This will be my fifth year teaching here; I have taught either second or first grade 20 full years total with some time off to raise my 3 children. My oldest son Cade is 23, graduated from UNC Charlotte and now works uptown where he loves the city life. My middle child Kyle is a sophomore at UNC Wilmington majoring in Business, and my daughter Kate is a rising sophomore at Northern High School. In my spare time I love to watch Kate cheer varsity for the Knights, play with my cocker spaniel Koda, and visit the beach or lake when I can with my husband Todd and my family.
