• Greetings Spartan Family,

     

    Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I’m super excited about beginning my year here at Southern School of Energy & Sustainability. Last school year we made incredible strides as a family. We were designated a Magnet School of Distinction by Magnet Schools of America for the second year in a row!

    SSES has five amazing magnet pathway academies. They are supported by phenomenal administration and faculty empowered and driven to promote creativity in our students. Students continue on a S.T.E.M journey with an emphasis on energy and sustainability woven throughout the curriculum; studying real world problems and posing solutions to global issues. 

    I am elated to employ my advocacy of our Magnet Program to help ensure a climate that allows for curiosity and provides an excellent education that fosters academic achievement, character development, and critical thinking. Our students will graduate prepared for enrollment, enlistment, or employment in an ever-changing global society!

    As we move forward, I encourage your participation and support whether student, parent, guardian, or family member. I look forward to working with you as we use collaborative learning to make a lasting impact on our students!
