The 2025-2026 school year application will be available online from January 6, 2025 through January 31, 2025 at 5 pm.

Minimum requirements for admission to DECHS
- Must be a current 8th grader residing in Durham County at the time of application
Required documents
In addition to the online application, the school will collect and review the following materials...
- Report Cards
- Attendance Reports
- Discipline Reports
- Standardized Testing Results (if available)
These documents will automatically be collected for current Durham Public Schools students. Applicants from charter, home, or private schools must obtain these documents from their current schools and upload them to the magnet application.
Special documentation required from home school applicants only
- The Durham Early College of Health Sciences accepts applications only from home schools approved by the North Carolina Division of Non-Public Instruction (http:ncdpne.org).
