If so, your student(s) and family may be eligible for McKinney-Vento Services.

McKinney-Vento (MKV) is a program to assist students and their families who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. If your family is living on the streets, having to live with another family, or in a hotel or shelter, you are entitled to McKinney-Vento services.
You have the right to:

Receive the free, appropriate public education

Be enrolled in school immediately, even if you lack normal enrollment documentation. Your student can attend classes while the school gathers the needed information

Receive transportation to and from the school of origin, if you request this

Receive assistance with school supplies and payment for school field trips
