    24-25 School Improvement Team

     

    All Durham County Schools will be utilizing the NCSTAR program for school improvement

    planning and implementation. This program provides the school with ongoing, systematic

    process for school improvement. The links below will allow parents/guardians to access the

    School Improvement Plan, meeting agendas, and minutes from each meeting. Parents/Guardians

    are encouraged to be involved in the school improvement process by providing feedback and

    attending meetings.

    School Improvement Goals and Indicators:

     

    Goal 1: By June 2025, Pearsontown will increase its 3rd Grade Reading Proficiency from 68.8% to

    75% as measured by the NC End of Grade Assessments

     

    District Indicator Alignment: Priority 1: Increase Academic Achievement.

    Goal 2: By June 2024, Pearsontown will close the Achievement Gap between the ethnic subgroups.

    by 2%, with a particular focus on Hispanic and African American Students

     

    District Indicator Alignment: Priority 1: Increase Academic Achievement.

    Goal 3: By June 2025, Pearsontown will increase its overall Math Proficiency from 76% to 78%

    proficiency as measured by the NC End of Grade Assessments

     

    District Indicator Alignment: Priority 1: Increase Academic Achievement.

    Goal 4: By June 2025, Pearsontown will change its growth designation from “not met” to “met or

    exceeded growth” for students in Advance Academics.

     

    District Indicator Alignment: Priority 2: Provide a safe school environment that supports the

    whole child.

    April: Monday,4/28 @ 3pm

    May: Monday, 5/19 @ 3pm
