My name is Robert Oechslin and I represent Advanced Academics as the AIG Specialist at Burton Elementary School. I work with students in grades K-5 to provide opportunities for enrichment and critical thinking.
What does this look like in grades K-2 classrooms?
We partner with our classroom teachers in K-2 classrooms to conduct weekly STEM investigations. These investigations are meant to challenge learners and provide opportunities for them to display their critical thinking and unique perspectives. Starting in the 2024-2025 school year, K-2 students will also get to explore coding and robotics using KIBO robots!
What does this look like in grades 3-5 classrooms?
Students who have been identified in our AIG program receive weekly services to support and enrich their learning experience. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please reach out to me! I've listed my contact information at the bottom of this page.
