This is my second year as a teacher with DPS. Before Ignite! I taught 4th and 5th grade in Wake County. I grew up in Durham and graduated from Meredith College with a degree in Spanish as well as my license to teach elementary school. I live in Durham now with my husband, Greg, our kiddo, Wren, and our dog, Oliver. When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking, reading, traveling, and gardening!

I am thrilled to join the amazing Ignite Online Academy community as a 3rd grade teacher! I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from UNCG and went on to earn my Masters of Education from UNC. This will be my 11th year teaching and I have taught both elementary and middle school students, but my favorite has always been 3rd grade! In my freetime, my husband and I love to travel and spend time with our baby, a boxer-pitbull, Rocket.

Ms. Ebony is a native North Carolinian. She has taught 1st-3rd grades and this is her 10th year teaching. She is an NCCU alum. 

My name is Marsha Harrell and I am excited to continue teaching Kindergarten at Ignite this year! I have been working with Pre-K and K children for over 20 years. I love this age group because they are so eager to learn and so willing to try new things. I am looking forward to another great year at Ignite!

I am so excited for year 2 at Ignite! This year I will be our K-5 Advanced Academics/AIG Specialist. This will be my 7th year in DPS. I have experience teaching K-2 and K-5 AIG. I'm looking forward to working with all of our students and exploring new interests with them!

I have been in the field of education for 7 years now. I have a Master of Art in Elementary Ed. from NCSU. I'm joining Ignite Online Academy from Creekside Elementary. I prioritize building strong and positive classroom relationships to help students reach their full potential. I'm excited about joining the Ignite team as a 4th-grade teacher for the 2022-2023 school year!
