Hello!

My name is Mrs. Cheryl Eason, Media Coordinator at Eastway Elementary. This is my 12th year in education and my 11th year in public education. I have a Master's in Teaching from Converse College and a Master's in Library Science from North Carolina Central University. I am excited to be working with the students and staff at Eastway! I am passionate about learning and literacy. I look forward to encouraging a love of reading and growing the Media Center!

    Students in grades K-2nd may check out 1 book a week. Students in grades 3-5 may check out 2 books a week. Once the catalog grows, the number of books will increase.

  • What is open circulation?

    Open circulation is when any student is allowed to return books and check out new books. Open circulation is M-F from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Students will need a note or pass from their teacher to visit the library during open circulation.
