Website Accessibility and Translation Services

  • Accessibility

Durham Public Schools is for everyone, and that extends to our district and school web presence. We are committed to accessibility and want to ensure that people with disabilities have equal access to information through our websites. We strive to meet or exceed modern web content accessibility guidelines and are committed to complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other requirements.

If you encounter any accessibility problems with DPS’s district or school websites, please contact Tony Cunningham, Jr., DPS’s Digital Communications Specialist, by email at tony_cunningham@dpsnc.net or by telephone at (919) 560-2082, extension 22629.

    Automated Translations

When using Google Translate on the DPS website please be aware of the following:

Google Translate is a third-party service provided by Google and performs all translations directly and dynamically.

DPS has no control over the features, functions or performance of the Google Translate service.

The automated translations should not be considered exact and used only as an approximation of the original English language content.

This service is meant solely for the assistance of limited English speaking users of the website.

DPS does not warrant the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of any information translated.

Some items cannot be translated, including but not limited to image buttons, drop down menus, graphics, photos, or portable document formats (PDFs).

DPS also offers interpretation and translation services as described here.

DPS does not directly endorse Google Translate or imply that it is the only language translation solution available to users.
