I am Rhonda Brodie, born in Fayetteville, NC. Attended grade school in Camden, NJ, and Durham, NC. Graduated from North Carolina Central University (Durham, NC) to earn a Bachelor of Arts in English with course work in Elementary Education, and then childcare classes at Durham Technical Community College (Durham, NC). Submitting my edTPA this semester for my BK license at Barton College. My favorite color is Royal Blue. My favorite book is “Ms. Nelson is Missing” I love to ride ATV’s, vacationing, TikTok, and spending time with my 3 year old, Ryan.

Hello, I am Ms. Hicks.! I graduated from Mt Olive College with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I have taught Pre-k for 11 years, and worked for Durham Public School for 21 years. I love photography, sewing, scrapbooking, writing poetry, going to church, teaching, gardening and cooking gluten-free foods/ desserts.

I have been working with exceptional PreK children for over 15 years. I have a bachelor's in early childhood education and a masters in curriculum development and research. My passion for educating children with disabilities is a natural calling. I am an advocate and a voice where they would not normally have one. I treat children as they want to be heard. I allow them a voice, whether it be happy or angry. My classroom is a safe place where children have ownership, structure and a place to be a child.
