Do you need a computer at home for school work? If you are a student who does not have access to a computer at home and is academically-focused, you can receive a free desktop computer from the Kramden Institute, a nonprofit organization in Durham (located near RTP) that focuses on bridging the digital divide by providing disadvantaged students who are academically minded with home computers for free. To receive a free computer, students must be nominated by a teacher, guidance counselor, school social worker, or principal. Click here for more information!
The Kramden Institute also offers a variety of technology-focused camps, and most camps have scholarships available. Click here to learn more!
