    Public Safety I| Prerequisite: None

    This course provides basic career information in public safety including corrections, emergency and fire management, security and protection, law enforcement, and legal services. Additionally students will develop a personal plan for a career in public safety. The course includes skills in each area, using resources from the community to help deliver instruction to the students. 

    Public Safety II| Prerequisite: Public Safety I ​

    This course provides a deeper level of understanding of career information in public safety by focusing on the Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) Certification and NECI 40-hour 9-1-1 Basic Communications course certification. CERT is a Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) developed certification that incorporates all areas of public safety. Additionally, NECI 911 Basic Communications is covered in this course.​
