Forest View Elementary is proud to partner with Book Harvest, a local nonprofit that works to provide a book-rich home environment for all children in need.
Prior to long school breaks, all eligible children choose 10 books of their very own to take home and keep forever, in their own home libraries.
- Home libraries empower families to create a family culture of reading, and to develop the habit of reading together every day.
- Ownership of books and daily reading improve school performance.
To date, since 2011, we have collected and distributed over 16,000 books to children at Forest View Elementary. With your help, we can continue to help all families grow up in a book-rich home environment.
Look for donation boxes outside the office and media center, or contact Catriona Moore at catriona.moore@dpsnc.net or visit us in ESL Room A-18.
We want all Forest View families to learn and succeed together.
Thank you for your support!
